Adel Ghanem, PhD
President/CEO, Co-founder
With over 25 years of experience leading teams to transform technologies and innovations into products and services that benefit people, Adel co-founded Vitashi as a result of his personal involvement in caregiving for his mother.
Adel earned his PhD in electrical and computer engineering from SUNY/Buffalo. After a short tenure in academia, he focused his carrier on wireless and consumer-facing informatics businesses and technologies. He was recently the CEO of Sierra Video. He is also an active mentor to several entrepreneurs and small-business leaders.
Michael Miyamoto, MD MBA
Chief Clinical Innovation Officer, Co-founder
Michael is a practicing cardiologist and a digital health, medical device, and biopharmaceutical innovator.
He has been involved in multiple digital health and medical device startups, in co-founder and consultant roles, as well as pharma trials. He is particularly interested in the intersection of medicine and data science.
His clinical training was at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He earned his MBA at the UC Irvine, Paul Merage School of Business.
Alexander Lakowsky, MD MBA
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Lakowsky is a physician-entrepreneur with over 15 years of clinical experience. Throughout his career, Dr. Lakowsky has practiced in various practice settings including multi- and single-specialty groups, as well as part of a large hospital foundation. Years of clinical work at various practice models gave Dr. Lakowsky a unique perspective of how the business of medicine works and evolves, which he was able to use to build his own private internal medicine practice from the ground up in 2012, creating a thriving professional medical environment that is advantageous for both doctors and patients.
His current private practice, Premier Medical Care is one of the preeminent practices in the SF Bay Area. Dr. Lakowsky is a physician and patient advocate, having built various platforms for physicians, helping them understand the complex world of insurance and Medicare reimbursement.
In his current role as CMO of Vitashi, Dr. Lakowsky will continue to carry on his passion of helping physicians to take better care of their patients.
